Adoption Homestudies:

The decision to adopt is a huge decision and should not be taken lightly. As part of the adoption process, you will be asked to have an Adoption Homestudy. A Homestudy is a written document that a Social Worker writes about you and the members of your household. It is all encompassing information about your background, finances, health, and other important information that are needed in order for agencies and the court to process your adoption. Additionally, the Adoption Homestudy allows me to answer questions about adoption, about what to expect and to provide training about things that might arise once a child is in your home,

As part of the Adoption Homestudy process, I will have forms for you that you would need to complete and return to me. We would schedule an appointment time for me to come to your home to meet you and anyone else living in your home. I will spend time getting to know each member of your household, I will be gathering information I need to include in this document. These visits take place over time.

My previous work experience of over 15 years in the NYC Foster Care system allows me to have the knowledge needed to offer this service to potential adoptive parents. If you are interested in having a homestudy completed, please send me an email and we can get the process started.
